96 Philips screens and interactive monitors revolutionize the learning environment in German schools – PCR

100 new Philips interactive digital screens and monitors are being installed at a school in western Germany. Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium (GSG) in Velbert, will use screens to revolutionize the way he teaches and communicates with his students.

After an intensive process of exploring the global market, GSG has partnered with PPDS – the exclusive global provider of Philips professional television and signage solutions – for a complete digital transformation.

The project included the installation of 96 screens – ranging from 24 “to 86” and also used a suite of products from other major brands, including manufacturers of TV mounts and wall mounts, Vogel’s and Smart metals. Blackboards have been replaced by (or placed next to) thirteen Philips T-Line 86 “and 75” interactive multi-touch, anti-glare, anti-glare and 4K educational displays designed to enable advanced levels of collaborative learning through content multimedia and freehand typing directly on the screen with “whiteboard modeâ€. With up to 20 touch points at the same time, students can get creative together through physical interaction on the screen, while students in the classroom and at home can take control of the screen from their own. own device securely connected.

In addition, ten Philips 10 “T-Line displays have been placed outside each classroom for dynamic, easy-to-read content, including room name, lesson, teacher and other information. important, allowing for greater room planning versatility and faster classroom efficiency.

The school has also been strategically equipped with a suite of seventeen Philips D-Line and Q-Line screens (49 “- 86”), enabling the school to ensure that all students and teachers have access to live information anytime. This ranges from health and safety information – such as social distancing and areas where masks are required – orientation, school events and activities, as well as schedules. Content and information can be created and shared quickly and efficiently using the proprietary PPDS CMND platform, while all displays are controlled through a custom CMS, which enables automatic and manual updates from within. ‘a central location. This reduces the risk of disruption, helping tutors start classes on time and maximize the learning experience.

Course management has also been digitized using the recently launched i3LEARNHUB learning software, a cloud-based digital authoring and learning platform designed to enable teachers to bring digital content to students, stimulate learning collaboration and prepare them for 21st century learning skills.

The software gives teachers and students instant access to a wide range of new educational and collaborative tools, designed to help teachers create fresh, inspiring and feature-rich bespoke content to present in class, transforming classrooms. class in highly interactive workspaces facilitating blended learning.

The platform is used by a growing digital community of more than 50,000 education professionals, where teachers from around the world come together to share ideas and good practice, with comprehensive lesson plans that can be downloaded.
