First steps for the accreditation of the Electoral Training Center as an educational institution
The Council of Europe, in co-operation with the Center for Continuing Electoral Training within the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Moldova (CCET), is working on a roadmap for the accreditation of CCET as an educational institution in accordance with the relevant legislation of the Republic of Moldova.
The roadmap will be assess the steps and procedures required for accreditation, as well as the preparation of vouchers for the accreditation of CCET training programs by the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova. Accreditation will allow CCET to issue qualified certificates of completion for election officials, trainers, police officers, journalists, political party treasurers, librarians, etc.
The Council of Europe project Improving Electoral Practices in the Republic of Moldova, Phase II. will assist CCET in the self-assessment process and the quality of its training programs. Finally, the experience on accreditation will be analyzed in countries with similar voter training organizations.
The CCET is one of the main partners of the project and organizes = specialized training for election officials, as well as, on request, members of political parties, national observers, media representatives, public administration authorities local, etc., who are also deeply involved in the electoral process.
